Greater Manchester Police reported being called to the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Crumpsall shortly after 9.30am by a member of the public who witnessed a car driven towards members of the public and a stabbing. Firearms officers fired shots at 9.38am and one man was shot, believed to be the offender. By 9.41am, paramedics were tending to four injured members of the public.
