"The Unite the Kingdom protest is set to begin in the north end of Whitehall from 3pm, and the Stand Up To Racism counter-protest will begin at the south end from 1pm."
"A march protesting digital ID will also begin at 2pm from Portland Place towards the north end of Whitehall."
"The Met said demonstrators at that protest tried to spill into cordoned-off areas and officers policing who moved into stop them were met with unacceptable violence."
Three separate demonstrations will take place in central London on the same day. Unite the Kingdom will assemble at the north end of Whitehall from 3pm while Stand Up To Racism will gather at the south end from 1pm. A protest march opposing digital ID will start at 2pm from Portland Place and head toward the north end of Whitehall. The earlier Unite the Kingdom event in September was led by far-right activist Tommy Robinson. Demonstrators at that earlier event attempted to spill into cordoned-off areas and officers who moved in to stop them faced unacceptable violence, according to the Met.
