A Cinnabon franchise in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin fired a worker after a TikTok video showed the employee cursing at and taunting customers and uttering a racial slur. The chain said the worker was immediately terminated by the franchise owner and called the actions completely unacceptable and inconsistent with the brand's values. The customers, identified by an online fundraiser as a Black Somali Muslim couple, said the incident began after a request for more caramel on a cinnamon roll and included derision of a hijab. Separate crowdfunding efforts emerged both to support the customers and to benefit the fired worker.
