The Department of Homeland Security placed the officer on administrative leave and opened a full investigation, calling the conduct unacceptable and beneath ICE standards. The officer appears linked to a recent arrest of a court observer that was witnessed and recorded. Increased ICE presence and courthouse arrests have escalated tensions and produced confrontations between agents and the public.
