ICE raids grow tense as protesters confront immigration agents
Briefly

Recent ICE operations across the U.S. have sparked protests amidst public outrage about the agency's aggressive tactics. For instance, an operation at an Italian restaurant in San Diego drew a large crowd that became confrontational. Local officials and citizens criticized the show of force, citing a harmful impact on community safety and relationships. ICE’s response involved agents wearing tactical gear and masks, a move defended by acting authorities as necessary protection in light of threats against them and their families.
