More Harvard connections to Epstein revealed in newly released documents
""Just saying hello as I had a trip to the Caribbean and can see your island," Randall wrote to Epstein on Nov. 28, 2014. "Where are you these days anyway? And how are you?""
""You are welcome to hop on board," he added."
""I am appalled by the crimes that were revealed and the terrible harm [Epstein] caused his victims," Randall said in an emailed statement. "I deeply regret maintaining contact.""
U.S. Department of Justice documents show a Harvard physics professor and former Harvard Hillel leaders kept contact with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein years after his 2008 conviction. Professor Lisa Randall exchanged chatty emails and phone calls with Epstein and accepted an invitation to fly on his private jet in 2014, appearing on a flight manifest alongside Reid Hoffman, Joichi Ito, and others. Randall later issued an emailed statement expressing that she was appalled by the crimes and deeply regretted maintaining contact. Harvard acknowledged receiving about $9 million from Epstein and his foundations over a decade ending in 2007 and previously sanctioned another professor with close ties.
