"As we enter a pivotal point in our team's future, we felt a change in leadership at this time was best for our organization," Wings executive vice president and general manager Curt Miller said. "The Dallas Wings remain dedicated to their pursuit of WNBA Championships and building upon the strong culture established on and off the court."
The Dallas Wings dismissed head coach Chris Koclanes after one season following a 10-34 record tied for the worst in the WNBA. The organization announced an immediate search for a new head coach. Wings executive vice president and general manager Curt Miller said a leadership change was necessary at a pivotal point and affirmed commitment to pursuing WNBA championships while building strong culture on and off the court. Koclanes had been hired in December to replace Latricia Trammel after a 9-31 season that missed the playoffs. Koclanes previously spent eight seasons working under Miller, who coached the Los Angeles Sparks and Connecticut Sun.
