"Working people - the ones building our communities, teaching our kids, paying the bills - have been left behind, and many are leaving. Our current one-party system isn't working,"
"I'm running to be a new kind of governor. One with the faith, the heart, and the grit to serve for Massachusetts."
Michael Minogue launched a Republican campaign for Massachusetts governor after months of speculation, announcing his bid in a video. He said working people have been left behind and criticized a one-party system, pledging to be a governor with faith, heart, and grit. He cited Desert Storm military service, a West Point engineering degree from 1989, and nearly two decades as CEO of Abiomed until 2023. He hosted Vice President J.D. Vance at a fundraiser, donated substantial sums to the RNC and the Trump 47 Committee, and lives in Gloucester with his wife Renee and five children. He faces rivals Mike Kennealy and Brian Shortsleeve.
