The escalation also comes as the committee released new materials tied to Epstein, including a photograph recovered from his estate showing Bill Clinton smiling alongside Epstein and his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell."

Depositions are scheduled for Dec. 17 and 18, and the committee warned it will begin contempt proceedings if the couple do not appear or agree to early January dates. The committee released Epstein-related materials, including a signed photograph of Bill Clinton with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell is serving a 20-year federal sentence. Former Clinton spokesperson Angel Urena posted that Bill Clinton "did nothing and knew nothing" and described further allegations as noise.
