JUST IN: Second Detainee Dies Following Dallas ICE Shooting
"The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) announced in a Tuesday statement that Miguel Angel Garcia-Hernandez, 32, died after being removed from life support. He was one of three detainees shot by a now-deceased gunman who officials say held anti-ICE beliefs that had grown more aggressive leading up to the attack. Stephany Gauffeny, the wife of Garcia-Hernandez, said in a statement that her husband was a good man and loving father."
"We had just bought our first home together, and he worked hard every single day to make sure our children had what they needed. His death is a senseless tragedy that has left our family shattered. I do not know how to explain to our children that their father is gone, she said. The couple was expecting their fifth child."
"Garcia-Hernandez was previously identified as one of three shot by suspected shooter Joshua Jahn, a 29-year-old who took his own life and was found near the scene of the crime with a rifle and rounds reading: anti-ICE. Norlan Guzman-Fuente, 37, was also shot and killed in the attack. No officers were harmed in the shooting. The gunman reportedly targeted a transport van at the Dallas facility from a nearby roof. The shooter let off rounds indiscriminately, officials said."
