"So anyway. There's the fake news, except for some of the conservative media. Again, professional and respectful to everyone over there. We've talked before. Hey, how you doing? Oh, it's been a long time, all that stuff. But when it comes down to the narrative, I'm just not gonna bend the knee to the crap on the left, the mainstream media, or anything that is anti what's going on."
Matthew Alvarez, a pro-Trump host, reported from the press riser at a Trump rally and was asked by the Trump administration press lead to step off the podium. He questioned whether his direct reporting prompted the removal and contrasted the treatment of conservative outlets with mainstream media. Alvarez labeled much of the coverage as "fake news" while praising some conservative media as professional and respectful. He emphasized journalistic basics—the who, what, where, when, why, and how—and said he would not "bend the knee" to narratives he views as anti-administration, citing God, family, country, and freedom.
