Sara Jane Moore died at 95 in a Franklin, Tennessee nursing home, according to Demetria Kalodimos, who was informed by the executor of Moore's estate. Moore attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford in San Francisco in 1975, was convicted and sentenced to life, and served more than 30 years in prison. She had been involved in leftist groups and sometimes served as an FBI informant before the shooting. She was unexpectedly paroled Dec. 31, 2007, and thereafter lived largely anonymously. In broadcast interviews she expressed regret and said she had been caught up in radical political movements of mid-1970s California. She was often confused with Lynette 'Squeaky' Fromme.
