During the remark an audience member shouted 'Send them home,' prompting brief interruption while the president continued to thank Emmer. Trump has recently targeted Somali immigrants, alleging they defrauded more than $1 billion in Minnesota and suggesting some funds reached Al-Shabaab. In November Trump criticized the prior administration for allowing 'unknown and unvetted' foreigners and singled out Minnesota Somalis as ripping off the state, claiming billions lost and asserting those immigrants come from failed states with no law or order.
