""Our technology gives customer support teams the visibility they've been missing, providing real-time, verifiable data on what actually happens inside buildings to resolve refunds automatically," Murarka said."

Shashwat Murarka experienced repeated food delivery failures and confusing indoor drop-offs during college, prompting study and hands-on delivery work. He founded Doorstep with Sheel Patel to eliminate the final-mile indoor blind spot. Doorstep integrates into existing delivery apps and uses phone sensors to detect when a driver enters a building, rides an elevator, and reaches the correct doorstep. Platforms such as Uber Eats and DoorDash receive the resulting data to verify deliveries and automate dispute resolution. The company states that it does not collect driver or user information and maintains existing platform privacy and security standards. Doorstep raised an $8 million seed round led by Canaan Partners.
