Elden Ring Nightreign will introduce a two-player mode known as "Duo Expeditions" with a patch on July 30th. This feature allows players to engage enemies together in the game’s world of Limveld. Previously, the game only supported solo play or groups of three, which frustrated players. Director Junya Ishizaki acknowledged the lack of a two-player mode as an oversight and promised future support. The upcoming patch 1.02 will also enhance the user interface with improved filtering options for Relics.
Elden Ring Nightreign will add a two-player mode called "Duo Expeditions" in a patch arriving on July 30th, allowing players to team up across Limveld.
Director Junya Ishizaki previously stated that the absence of a two-player mode was a game balancing decision that disappointed many players wanting to play cooperatively.
In a May interview, Ishizaki acknowledged the oversight of not including two-player support and confirmed that it would be addressed in a future update.
The upcoming patch 1.02 will also introduce user interface updates, including additional Relic filtering options alongside the new two-player feature.
