Fallout Is The Franchise That Bethesda Is "Doing The Most In" Right Now
"We've had a long-term plan for Fallout, and so I wish I could talk about all those today,"
"I'll just say this, it's the franchise that we're doing the most in right now."
"The TV show was part obviously of our Fallout plan as far as a franchise. And in a lot of ways, I view it as an entry, as a game entry. Games are one lens into the world, the TV show is another lens into the world."
Bethesda has a long-term plan for the Fallout franchise and is currently focusing on Fallout more than any other property. The Fallout TV series on Prime Video is integrated into that franchise plan and is regarded as a complementary lens into the Fallout world alongside games. The TV show's success did not change Bethesda's game development schedule. Fallout 76's Burning Springs update added Walton Goggins' The Ghoul from the show. Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition launched with significant bugs, prompting multiple updates. Fallout Season 2 debuts December 17, and a Pip-Boy Xbox controller is available for preorder.
