Lies Of P Expansion Has A Creepy Zoo With Mutant Animals
Briefly

Lies of P's first expansion, Overture, set to release this summer, has been previewed positively by GameSpot's Tamoor Hussain. The demo revealed a creatively designed zoo level filled with mutated animals and a challenging new boss rush mode. Overture seems to demonstrate the developers' growing confidence, offering more creativity and difficulty than the original game. The boss rush mode presents two gameplay options, allowing players to challenge specific bosses or tackle a gauntlet of enemies with health limits. Initial feedback indicates a potential shake-up in the gameplay experience, including added easier difficulty levels for accessibility.
Tamoor compares Overture to the Bloodborne expansion Old Hunters--not so much because of the content of the expansion, but because the developers now seem confident enough with the game to get creative with it.
The demo featured a zoo-like level filled with 'weird and freaky' versions of animals you might find in a regular zoo, including gorillas, kangaroos, wolf-like creatures, and a horrifying-looking giraffe.
The first option allows you to pick a specific boss to fight through, with five levels of difficulty available. The first three levels are unlocked by default.
As the first major expansion for Lies of P, Overture will be shaking things up a bit--including adding some easier difficulty modes for those who find the souls-like challenge too tough.
