"To mark the occasion, Pokemon Go will have a Pokemon Legends: Z-A Celebration event form 10 a.m. Oct. 16 to 8 p.m. Oct. 20. It will feature more Mega Raids along with the appearance of Chikorita, Totodile and Tepig in Timed Research. These Pokemon are reported to be the starters in the upcoming game. In Pokemon Go, they will feature a Seasonal Special Background and be part of the branching questline for the event."
"Players will have to choose a starter and they will appear more often to the Daily Adventure Incense. These starters also have a chance to be shiny. Unfortunately, the pocket monsters caught in Pokemon Go can't be transferred to the Pokemon Legends: Z-A just yet. The game's website said Pokemon Home integration isn't arriving until 2026, and what's more, Pokemon transferred to Z-A can't be transferred back to previous games in the series."
The Pokemon Go Pokemon Legends: Z-A Celebration runs from 10 a.m. Oct. 16 to 8 p.m. Oct. 20. The event increases Mega Raids and introduces Chikorita, Totodile, and Tepig in Timed Research with a Seasonal Special Background and a branching questline. Players must choose one starter; chosen starters appear more frequently with Daily Adventure Incense and have a chance to be shiny. Pokemon caught in Pokemon Go cannot be transferred to Pokemon Legends: Z-A until Pokemon Home integration arrives in 2026, and transfers to Z-A cannot be returned to or used in previous games. Evolving the starters grants Community Day moves: Meganium learns Frenzy Plant, Feraligatr learns Hydro Cannon, and Pignite learns Blast Burn, which can also be added via Charge TMs. Free avatar items replicating in-game character looks are available.
