Sonic Racing dev calls out Mario Kart World
Briefly

Sega's Sonic Team, led by Takashi Iizuka, is gearing up to launch Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, competing with Nintendo's Mario Kart World. During the Summer Game Fest, Iizuka emphasized the key differentiator of his game: cross-platform matchmaking. Unlike the exclusive Mario Kart, Sonic Racing will allow players to race against friends across all platforms when it releases on September 25. The trailer also showcased new characters, including popular icons like Persona 5's Joker and Minecraft Steve, further setting it apart from Nintendo's exclusive roster of characters.
Unlike the another kart racing game, this game will have online cross-platform matchmaking so you can race against all your friends across all of the platforms.
Sonic Racing features some rad crossovers, like Hatsune Miku, highlighting a major difference with Mario Kart's first-party character exclusivity.
