"We redesigned the Steam store menu to offer a more dynamic and personalized experience, making it easier for players to browse the store and discover new games,"
"Updated organization and layout make navigation and search more accessible, and now you'll find those options on more store pages. The search bar is also a little smarter, with personalized search and browsing suggestions, plus games you've recently searched for."
Steam's storefront received a personalized layout rollout to all users after a Steam Client Beta test beginning July 25. The home page removes clutter and simplifies navigation to favorite genres and new discoveries. An enhanced search panel now shows popular searches, recently viewed items, publisher filters, other categories outside games, and an advanced search tool. The horizontal search panel remains fixed at the top of the client for constant access. Browsing improvements include consolidated recommendations and personalization for the categories tab. Users can join the Steam Client Beta to try features and submit feedback to influence final designs.
