"A new goal, the thousandth goal, this is good motivation," Datsyuk added, emphasizing the importance of this milestone for Ovechkin's career moving forward.

"Everyone is waiting for Ovechkin to score his 1,000th goal in the NHL championships; until then, we won't let him into Russia," joked Datsyuk, highlighting the challenge.
