He served bowls of cereal with toppings and various milk options to schoolchildren from Fort Dupont Ice Arena and their parents. Ovechkin interacted directly with kids, answering questions, pouring milk, and suggesting choices. A child asked if he was Ovi and reacted excitedly when confirmed. He chose "everything" as his own toppings and ate a bowl while signing autographs and posing for photos, remaining calm amid the crowd.
