After retiring from tennis at 25, Sandra Zaniewska initially wanted nothing to do with the sport. However, when a friend asked for coaching help, she discovered a passion for it. Over time, she coached Petra Martic to a significant ranking rise, which motivated her to continue. Zaniewska has coached other players, including Marta Kostyuk, now ranked No. 25. She acknowledges her unique journey in a male-dominated field and the challenges of frequent coaching changes in professional tennis.
I loved it, and I remember thinking, 'Wow, I was meant to do this job.'
