An Islamic boarding school building in Indonesia's East Java province collapsed beneath the weight of an under-construction fourth floor, killing at least three and leaving dozens trapped under rubble. National Search and Rescue Agency reported 102 victims in total: 99 survivors and three deaths. National Disaster Mitigation Agency spokesman said rescuers were still searching for 38 people believed to be trapped. Dozens of students were in the prayer hall during afternoon prayers when the collapse occurred and building materials fell on students and workers. Rescue teams provided oxygen and water to those trapped, and hundreds of disaster workers, police and soldiers dug through the night while heavy machinery remained unused due to instability.
