"'What looks to be moving swiftly is actually moving much more slowly. So, airplanes, satellites, or anything else coming into the frame will appear to be zipping past when they are not,' Rojas told the Daily Mail."
"'You can see the stars in the background moving quickly, whereas their movement in relation to the Earth is not discernible to the naked eye,' Rojas continued."
"'That means everything is moving much faster than its actual speed. I do not see anything in this video that is particularly anomalous that could not be explained,' the UF"
A webcam monitoring Popocatépetl volcano recorded a 30-minute time-lapse showing dozens of small glowing lights streaking past as the volcano emitted smoke. The lights resembled shooting stars and reignited claims that the volcano is a UFO hotspot, with some observers arguing objects flew behind the smoke and therefore were distant. Skeptics noted insects or birds illuminated by nighttime infrared on webcams as plausible causes. Alejandro Rojas of Enigma Labs explained that time-lapse compression makes slowly moving objects appear fast and that stars and other objects can seem to move unnaturally, finding nothing clearly anomalous.
