President Donald Trump laughedly attacked CNN during an Oval Office meeting while agreeing to take a question from Yunus Paksoy of CNN Turk. Trump has repeatedly targeted CNN and intensified those attacks after taking office again, with frequent criticism aimed at anchor Kaitlan Collins. At a photo opportunity with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Trump called CNN "fake news" but praised Paksoy and answered questions about defense sales. Trump described the Patriot as "the best system," said talks over the F-35 were serious, noted F-16 status was strong, and indicated efforts would be made to provide Turkey requested defense items.
