Donald Trump met Volodymyr Zelensky at the United Nations General Assembly and offered that Ukraine, with European Union and NATO support, can reclaim all territory lost to Russia. He said patience and financial backing from Europe and NATO could restore the original borders. Trump described Russia as having fought aimlessly for three and a half years and characterized its performance as making it look like a 'paper tiger,' adding that Russia's economy was in trouble. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov rejected the aimless claim and pointed to US and EU unwillingness to heed Russian security concerns. Zelensky sought additional US assistance against missiles, drones and bombs.
