Teresa transformed a crisp white, checkered-floored kitchen by replacing the floors with wood and keeping the layout minimal with no upper cabinets. Limewash paint (Kalklitir, color Elle) was applied directly over textured white wallpaper, with added water to ease application. A restored antique workbench purchased for €300 on Kleinanzeigen functions as a durable work surface and herb shelf. The overall design intentionally mixes modern elements and vintage pieces, using the limewash finish and antique worktop to create an old-world feel balanced by a bold contemporary overhead light fixture.
