The site has been redesigned into 23.5 acres of lush, verdant, sustainable public space, becoming Louisville's first botanical garden. The education center and surrounding trails and gardens provide green space to residents and visitors and deliver education on conservation and sustainability. Programming serves adults and children, and facilities are available for event rentals. The architecture work completed in 2019 includes a 5000 ft building element and is documented by James Steinkamp Photography.
