The project transforms an existing house in Cabrera de Mar on a hillside open to the Mediterranean through a comprehensive renovation and a contrasting extension. The original home remains rooted in the terrain while the new addition is elevated above the ground, designed to be warm and oriented toward the horizon. The design strategy emphasizes a counterpoint between the grounded original structure and the floating extension to maximize views and presence within the landscape.
