A 250-square-foot kitchen was created inside a monumental 17th-century farmhouse in Naarden Vesting, Netherlands. Original farmhouse tiles were kept intact, while custom walnut and built-in seating were added for refined contemporary comfort. Custom oak cabinetry is paired with an ultra-thin brushed stainless steel worktop. A Siemens wall oven and a Liebherr wine refrigerator are integrated into the cabinetry, along with a Quooker stainless steel tap. A stainless steel compost container is built into the cabinet below the coffee area. Cafe curtains provide privacy on the ground floor, and vintage dining chairs are sourced from Morentz Gallery. Maha Alavi’s solid-bronze Cercle Pulls appear in the design.
