A bronze ram statue that has served as a familiar landmark outside the KUIU store on North Lincoln Street was stolen on New Year's Eve, prompting a police investigation and a $5,000 reward offer from the company. The statue, known as Rocky, was installed in June of 2024. It was cut from its pedestal in front of the store and loaded into a vehicle by two suspects in the early hours of Dec. 31, according to KUIU.
"The Mirage isn't saying anything," said Cameron Bell, who had tickets to see The Martinez Brothers at the venue on Friday, May 16. "They're not giving any updates. The only info I see is from the artists. It's weird. Communication is off."
