This article was a wonderful reminder of how much we really do need and how having a lot more cargo and cash doesn't give our lives meaning. At this fraught time, this identity crisis our country is going through, I wish for us all to be grateful for what we have and find a way for everyone in our country to have enough to feel safe, sheltered, nourished and maybe even happy.

United States President Donald Trump and New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani held surprisingly cordial talks in the White House on Friday, defying expectations of a potentially tense meeting between the Republican billionaire and the self-proclaimed Democratic socialist. The warmth displayed came in stark contrast to the barbs the pair have exchanged in recent months. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office after the meeting's end, Trump said he would be comfortable living in New York City with Mamdani in charge, and that he believes the democratic socialist will surprise some conservatives. It was a marked change from the charged comments the president has leveled at Mamdani both during his campaign and after he won the race earlier this month.
