Even when applied with the best of intentions, labels can be confusing. The point seems clear enough: a fictitious Yale professor named Lawrence Rowland (Jeffrey Wright) reminisces about a 2019 visit to Russia to the country estate of one Vadim Baranov (Paul Dano), a former political strategist then living in luxurious isolation with his young daughter. Lawrence had written an article about Vadim, and Vadim, who respects Lawrence as a scholar, now wants to tell him his life story.

Hadlow's novel both reimagines key Pride and Prejudice lore from Mary's perspective and tells a new, original story for the so-called "plain" and often-overlooked middle sister. The book begins by retracing Mary's life at home as her sisters marry off.

Stranger Than Heaven will feature a story spanning 50 years, across five eras and five cities. The game will follow the rags-to-riches story of Makoto Daito, born to an American father and a Japanese mother in San Francisco, who finds himself on a ship to Japan.

There's a lot about Perfect Tides: Station to Station 's Mara that I find relatable. Like me, she's recently moved to a place simply called "the City" from the middle of nowhere, and like me, she's an avid writer. But these biographical details aren't the important thing; it's the way she's painted by the game's incredibly sharp writing where I start to feel uncomfortably seen.

Dispatch feels like it harkens back to the early 2010s--a time when Telltale Games was creating incredible episodic adventure games inspired by graphic novels, superhero stories were beginning to fill to the brim with quips to counterbalance the angst of the genre in the 2000s, and office-based TV comedies were everywhere. If not for snippets of gameplay, Dispatch would simply be a great TV show that I would want to tune into every week.
