RTÉ has proposed €855,000 for consultants over five years to support distribution of Late Late Toy Show appeal donations.
Some long-time supporters said they no longer wish to fund the organisation, arguing that the service is "encouraging illegal activity" and is "shocking and unacceptable." One critic told The Sun: "It's shocking to see a charity effectively acting as a taxi service for people breaking the law." A donor told The Sun, "It's shocking. They're saving lives, yes - but they're also sending the wrong message. "Stop funding them until they rethink this."

The team will host its 25th Teddy Bear Toss, aiming to break its ice hockey world record of 102,343 set last season. The team accomplished the feat on January 5, 2025, against the Providence Bruins when Mike Sgarbossa scored Hershey's Teddy Bear Toss goal at 14:45 of the first period, starting the sweet cuddly mayhem.
LOS ANGELES -- It was another million-dollar win on Thursday's episode of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire." Stars of "The Office," Oscar Nuñez and Kate Flannery answered every question successfully on their road to $1 million! They even called in co-star Brian Baumgartner as their Phone-A-Friend. The winnings will go to the charities of their choice, Planned Parenthood and Philabundance, a food bank serving the Philadelphia area.
