"We've been talking for years now about getting as many of the covers we've done for specific territories together and releasing them for all to hear. It's finally happening," says The Dandy Warhols' Zia McCabe of the group's new all-cover album. With a nod to Bowie (who they don't cover), it's titled PIN UPS, and will be out March 20 via Beat The World/Little Cloud Records.

Melbourne-based DJ Moopie, AKA Matthew Xue, is renowned for engrossing, wide-ranging sets that can run the gamut from gelid ambient music to churning drum'n'bass and beyond. He also runs A Colourful Storm a fantastic indie label that massively punches above its weight when it comes to putting out charmingly moody experimental pop music, from artists as disparate as London-based percussionist Valentina Magaletti, dubby Hobart duo Troth, and renowned underground polymath Simon Fisher Turner.

Sponge have announced a compilation of early recordings entitled Electric Cattle Gods - The Lost Tracks. It arrives November 14th via Cleopatra Records. The album also includes two newly recorded songs, one being "Wet Brain," which can be streamed now. The brooding post-grunge track is steeped in the band's signature sonic characteristics: deliberate and forceful percussion, dynamic stabs of guitar, and the recognizable drawl of singer Vinnie Dombroski.
