Honestly, I get excited when stores put up their Christmas displays in October. It never feels too early when the winter holiday season is one of your favorite times of the year. I'm a sucker for it all it brings, whether I'm meticulously planning which wrapping paper to use on gifts or sipping peppermint lattes while shopping for decorations. When it comes to the latter, I typically visit craft retailers Hobby Lobby and Michaels.

Whether I'm working on a deadline or unwinding with a movie at the end of a long day, I spend a lot of time in front of a screen. So lately, I've been on a quest to find screen-free hobbies to fill my free time. Plus, crafty Christmas is in - so I wondered, could I use a newfound hobby to DIY some super cute and sentimental gifts this holiday season?

If there's anything I'm a complete sucker for, it's arts and craft supplies. Yarn, scrapbooking paper, ribbons, paints, sewing kits - you name it, I probably have it. I always have a handful of projects going at once, which means my supplies are scattered everywhere: a drawer across the room stuffed to the brim, knitting needles by my bed, and a shameless surplus tucked under it.
