A tall, strong player for his age, Pacifico can hold his own in duels, while he is also capable of carrying the ball out of defence. Prior to his move to Barcelona, the teenager made 40 first-team appearances for Defensor Sporting, even scoring two goals in the process. Pacifico has played 15 times for the Uruguayan U-20 national team, having previously represented the South American country at the U-17 level.

Barcelona are on the verge of completing another addition to their youth structure, with Patricio Pacifico already travelling to Spain to finalise his move. The 19-year-old left-back is set to become Barcelona's newest signing in the coming hours, marking another step in the club's continued focus on young, high-potential talent. Uruguayan journalist Rodri Vazquez revealed via Jijantes that Pacifico was spotted at Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo and was scheduled to fly to Barcelona today.
