Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum, which holds the world's largest trove of paintings from the Dutch Golden Age, has announced plans to open an outpost in Eindhoven. The museum, which showcases only a fraction of its more than 1m objects, said on Thursday it would construct the 3,500 sq metre centre over the next six to eight years. Located in parkland by the River Dommel and close to Eindhoven's central railway station, it will be built with support from the city council and from ASML, which makes semiconductor machinery in nearby Veldhoven.

Money transfer service Remitly set out to find the world's least stressful city to live in. Researchers looked at 170 locations around the globe, focusing on five key metrics to paint a picture of how stressful it is to live in each: the average time to travel 10 kilometers (about 6.2 miles), annual pollution levels, cost of living index, health care quality and accessibility, and a crime index based on perceived safety and security citizens expressed on worldwide surveys.

Remitly evaluated more than 170 major cities based on five metrics: cost of living, commuting congestion, crime, pollution and access to healthcare. And New York landed at the top of the list with a stress score of 7.56 out of 10. The most stress-inducing aspect of NYC for most residents was the cost of living, which is no surprise to anyone who has ever tried to order a burger at a restaurant without a loan. But finances aren't the only pressure. The study also cites long commute times as another major stressor, while crime and public-safety concerns weighed heavily.
