German brand RB Expeditions has created something that defies the rules with their custom 6×6 motorhome. Built on a MAN TGS chassis, this $1.8 million machine represents the pinnacle of go-anywhere luxury living. The six-wheel drive configuration makes it an exceptional off-roader across sand, mud, snow, and rock. The expedition-grade suspension allows this 12-ton vehicle to traverse terrain that would strand conventional RVs miles away. Ground clearance exceeds 16 inches, and the approach and departure angles are engineered for serious obstacles.
But that assumption was wrong, as Doug Field, Ford's head of EVs, confirmed for MotorTrend that the upcoming $30,000 electric pickup will also be offered with a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup at launch. The rear wheels will use a permanent-magnet motor, while AWD models will add an induction motor that drives the front axle.
