Any time you plant a fruit tree, you're making an investment in the future. Just how long you reap the rewards of your efforts depends on which fruit you choose. Some trees, such as peaches, live just 10-15 years, but others thrive for decades - even centuries.

A sweeping tunnel of more than 100 fruit and flower trees led temptingly towards more secrets and surprises tucked away in Steve Mills' plot, which he has been tending to for 14 years.
Many fruit trees need to be pollinated to produce fruit. Outside, helpful bees and other pollinators handle this. But assuming you're not going to welcome bees into your house, pollinating falls to you.
