Today, Sony held a State of Play showcase to talk about upcoming PlayStation 5 games, but this one was a little different. This one was specifically focused on Japan-developed games, as well as projects from other Asian studios. The State of Play Japan showcase was hosted by Ys actor Yuki Kaji, and was only streamed in Japanese, even in other territories.
Early-Bird tickets will go on sale starting November 7 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET, and are priced at $250 for both days of the fan expo. This includes taxes and fees, and it comes with commemorative in-game items as a bonus. These tickets will be sold while supplies last, after which, Blizzard will sell a standard ticket weekend pass for $290 starting November 18.
Podcaster and leaker NateTheHate spilled the beans on X early on Tuesday. It began the night before when people started asking him for information about when Sony's next showcase would be. "Sony has a presentation soon," he replied cryptically. Then earlier today he elaborated, "Next week." NateTheHate's had a good track record ever since he accurately reported on the Switch 2 reveal earlier this year, and a PlayStation event pegged to Tokyo Game show would make sense.
