Labour delegates urged the UK government to use all means to prevent genocide in Gaza and to suspend arms trade with Israel.
Genocide thrives when the world averts its eyes, and history is repeating before us. When we prevent or put an end to genocide, we honour the victims of past genocides and, in doing so, keep their memory alive. Eighty-six percent of IAGS members voted in favour of a resolution stating that Israel's policies and actions in Gaza fulfil the definition of genocide set out in the 1948 United Nations Convention for the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
