In an interview on the sidelines of the Reagan National Defense Forum, the House Armed Services Committee's top Democrat told Breaking Defense how he feels about the Trump administration's new National Security Strategy's outlook on Europe and the Western Hemisphere and knocked the Pentagon's lack of details on a spending plan for Golden Dome.

CEOs are touting their companies' ability to rapidly spool up satellite, sensor, and rocket production. Publicly, they all agree with the assertion of Pentagon officials that US industry already possesses the technologies required to make a homeland missile defense system work.

"Golden Dome, inspired by Israel's Iron Dome and Reagan's concept of a 'peace shield,' aims to be a successor to the Strategic Defense Initiative, costing billions."

We will truly be completing the job that President Reagan started 40 years ago, forever ending the missile threat to the American homeland.
