The series, which follows the trials and tribulations of a hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, takes place almost 100 years prior to the events of A Game of Thrones and will be told across six, half-hour episodes. The show is set in the time of Targaryen rule, with 'Dunk' and his diminutive square 'Egg' seeking knighthood in a world of danger and intrigue-and more jokes, by the looks of things.
Based on Rachel Reid's novel of the same name, Heated Rivalry follows Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov (Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, respectively) as they explore a private, passionate connection when they're not facing off on the ice. Heated Rivalry (which originally aired on Crave in Canada) spans nearly a decade. But it doesn't waste time introducing Shane and Ilya's physical chemistry through intimate scenes - the first of which arrives less than halfway into Episode 1, "Rookies."
If you're tired of missing out on big hit HBO shows like The Last of Us, The White Lotus, and The Pitt because you don't want to pay for another streaming service, this is your moment: HBO just cut the price of for the first 12 months in a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal, saving you 73% per month. This deal ends tomorrow, Dec. 1.
If you're thinking of ways to spend time with (or avoid) your family during Thanksgiving or Christmas, you can currently sign up for a year of HBO Max with ads for $2.99 a month ($8 off). The ongoing Black Friday promo is available to both new and returning subscribers, runs until December 1st, and saves you about $96 over the course of 12 months. The deal is particularly welcome right now, given that HBO Max received yet another price hike just over a month ago.
One of my latest TV obsessions is HBO Max's The Chair Company. Co-created by Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin (of SNL glory), the quirky comedy thriller stars Tim as Ron Trosper, an endearing dad and property development manager who goes down a deep, deep rabbit hole investigating a wild conspiracy theory about a chair company. Yes, really.
As autumn settles in, HBO Max is embracing the Halloween season with an October programming slate that delivers everything from new originals to cult horror classics. The streaming platform is turning its focus toward fright, nostalgia, and cinematic depth, offering an unmatched mix of films, docuseries, and premieres that perfectly capture the spirit of the season. This year's headliner is IT: Welcome to Derry, the much-anticipated spinoff of Stephen King's legendary horror universe, set decades before the events of IT.
HBO Max subscribers will no longer be able to watch CNN from the streaming platform as of November 17, Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) informed customers today. After this date, HBO Max subscribers will still be able to watch some CNN content, including shows and documentaries, on demand. The CNN Max livestream for HBO Max launched as an open beta in September 2023.
