The Democratic National Committee is launching a sharp-edged digital ad campaign targeting several House Republicans for what the party claims is a coordinated effort to shut down Congress to bury the truth about the Jeffrey Epstein files.
A group of 33 House Republicans voted in favor of renaming the Kennedy Center Opera House to the First Lady Melania Trump Opera House on Tuesday. The amendment was adopted in the bill by 33-25, though has not yet been voted on by the rest of Congress.
Trump's indication that he is "highly unlikely" to fire Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell came during a public meeting, despite earlier private discussions about dismissal with House Republicans.
"When I was pregnant, I couldn't fly towards the end of my due date because it was unsafe for Sam and you're unable to board a plane. And I was unable to have my vote represented here and my constituents' vote represented. It is unfathomable that in 2025, we have not modernized Congress."
Ray Dalio, the founder of hedge fund Bridgewater Associates, said he met with House Budget Chair Jodey Arrington and House Republicans to discuss the national debt on Tuesday.
