Hut 8 signed a $9.8 billion lease for 352 MW of AI data center capacity at Beacon Point in Texas, marking the second major AI project after River Bend. The deal includes a potential $25.1 billion in contract value with three optional five-year renewal terms. Beacon Point now has 597 MW of contracted IT capacity, with the first phase expected to begin energization in Q1 2027.

Under the agreement, Hut 8 will develop between 245 megawatts (MW) and up to 2,295 MW of AI-focused data center capacity in the United States, beginning with a flagship project at its River Bend campus in Louisiana. The partnership is structured across multiple tranches, creating a pathway to scale from an initial deployment to gigawatt-level infrastructure over time. The first phase centers on a 245 MW IT deployment at River Bend, supported by roughly 330 MW of utility power.

American Bitcoin Corp. (Nasdaq: ABTC), a Trump family-backed mining platform, has expanded its Bitcoin holdings to 3,865 bitcoin, adding 1,414 bitcoin since September through a combination of mining production and secondary market purchases. The Miami-based firm, which describes itself as "America's Bitcoin infrastructure backbone," said the latest accumulation includes coins held in custody and those pledged for miner purchases under its ongoing procurement deal with Bitmain.
