YouTube has announced an expansion of its Hype program, which is designed to help boost emerging creators, while it's also expanding access to its AI-generated video summaries, and launching new templates in its "YouTube Create" app.
YouTube's new Hype feature is aimed at boosting the visibility of small and mid-sized creators in India, specifically those with 500 to 500,000 subscribers. Viewers can now 'hype' a video - a new engagement tool alongside like, share, and subscribe - up to three times per week, but only within the first seven days of a video's release. This limited window encourages early interaction and rewards fresh content.
