The NYPD said its operation took place just before 11:10 a.m. on Nov. 22 near the corner of Canal Street and Broadway. A man was fatally shot during a vehicle stop on the outskirts of Chicago by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) officers after attempting to flee the scene, according to officials, and another officer was injured during the altercation. The incident occurred during a daylong protest unfolding outside the Ice processing center in Broadview, Illinois, where demonstrators clashed with federal government agents Friday morning.

A coalition of organizations are gearing up on Thursday, preparing to hand out flyers to hundreds of immigrant families who live in the South Bay.
