Well, over twenty years later, the future Simone imagined is here. But this time, no one is keeping her artifice a secret. At the Zurich Film Festival last week, London-based AI studio Particle6 announced the launch of a new company, Xicocia, which Deadline describes as an "AI talent studio designed to create, manage, and monetize" its stable of digital characters.

Now 25, Sydney has had both botox and lip filler. She is happy with her decision, and says she and her friends will do "whatever it takes" to feel more confident and "look their best". Sydney's mum, Dr Hayley Brown, an award-winning plastic surgeon based in Las Vegas, regularly injects small amounts of botox into her daughter's forehead. She says her daughter looks less tired, feels more confident and, Dr Brown believes, won't need more invasive surgery to smooth out deeper lines later in life.
